Shari Russell

Paralegal

Shari graduated in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Nebraska Wesleyan University where she was also a scholarship softball player. Shari has been a paralegal for more than 20 years, spending many of those years working with the education section. Shari is an expert in school district comparability, and has testified as an expert witness in numerous proceedings before the Commission of Industrial Relations.

Shari tracks and manages the KSB Complete Policy Service and ensures that all subscribers have the most updated policies. If you’ve ever seen the attorneys at a teacher termination, student discipline or special education due process hearing, Shari is the one that assembles those ominous black notebooks with all of the exhibits in them.

Shari’s husband Matt also works at KSB. She gets to boss him around at home and at work. Her daughter Kelsey attends college at UNK and is studying business management. Her son Jax keeps them busy taking him to games and practices. He is involved in soccer, baseball and football.

Fun Facts

• Shari still has a couple of records on the all-time charts at Nebraska Wesleyan from playing softball.
• Shari really likes Eric Church.  Like, a lot!  She once spent  way too much money to be in the front row for his concert (ask her to show you her Slack profile picture as proof!)
• Golf is Shari’s “therapy”!  She loves to golf and sometimes has to beg Matt to play with her.
• Jordan challenged Shari to a nacho eating contest and we TIED.  He claims he won, that is just false.
